The instrumentation of the 12 trumpet concertos of Opus VI is varying. Concerts 19 and 20 could be played also with clarinet. Maybe these are the first clarinet concertos. Concerto 21 contains even a solo violin. The two last concerts are written in a pastoral form. These are especially suited for Christmas time.
