The Valentin-Rathgeber-Foundation was brought into being to preserve the oeuvre of Rathgeber for the public. At first, it is a foundation with the commune of Oberelsbach as trustee until the stock necessary for an independent foundation under public law is collected.
It is the main objective of this foundation to sponsor research on the life and work as well as the conservation and propagation of the music oeuvre of the Baroque composer Johann Valentin Rathgeber (1682-1750) born in Oberelsbach. This objective is especially accomplished by financial funding of new editions, of scientific works and concerts. Moreover, the documentation of life and work of Johann Valentin Rathgeber in Oberelsbach should be supported for example by additional exhibits, by writings, or by further equipment for the Rathgeber Room in the Valentin-Rathgeber-House. Furthermore, the foundation could also sponsor the musical and cultural life in Oberelsbach in justified cases.
Since this foundation has objectives that are exclusively and directly non-profitmaking according to German tax code (see chapter on "tax-privileged objectives"), it is possible to issue donation receipts for endowment contributions.
Every donation is most welcome to get the basic stock for a foundation as soon as possible. Only with financial support of many sponsors, this amount could be raised.
Please help us and support our Cash Cow.
Thanks a million to all donators and God bless.
